With the help of some of my Bristol sewing buddies, I am organising a party for all you lovely Sewists out there. Jen from Gingerella and Nikki and Rachel from The Stitch Sisters and I have been plotting and have decided that as we’ve not had a big sewing-related event in the South West, it would be a great time to put Bristol on the sewing map!
The event is called the Sewcialite Soiree and will be held on Saturday 10th November at the Mecure Grand Hotel.
We are selling Early Bird tickets at a reduced price of £35 during the month of June. After June, the price will go up to £40.
You will get a free welcome drink and canapes on arrival, a goody bag, entertainment and dancing (lots of dancing) and a late night snack as part of your ticket price.
We will also be putting on some other events over the weekend. On the Saturday, we will be hosting an afternoon tea, where people can get together and have a natter over a scone or two! There will be a pop up market just before the party, where you will be able to shop from some of our lovely independent makers and designers. For those staying over, we will also meet up for a hangover brunch on the Sunday morning.
Handmade outfits are encouraged but not mandatory and we will be announcing a theme soon.
To buy tickets for the event, click here. Hurry though, as numbers are limited!
We will be sharing travel information and hotel suggestions over the next couple of weeks but feel free to ask if there are any questions in the meantime!
We can’t wait to see you all there.

I would love to have come especially as I didn’t get a ticket for the sewing weekender. Bristol is a really difficult place for me to get to, 5 hours on the train! It sounds fantastic though.
