So, the first week of Me Made May is over – that’s seven hand made outfits done!
I haven’t been working this last week so I kept things fairly casual as we were doing a lot of spring cleaning!
Day 1
We were visiting family in London so I got a great shot on the roof, looking out over the city, wearing my Tilly and the Buttons Agnes top and Closet Case Patterns low waisted Ginger jeans. I only made this top last month but it has already become one of my favourites!
Day 2
I had choir practice so I wore my newly made Tilly and the Buttons Rosa shirtdress with my Grainline Studio Driftless Cardigan. I love the contrast yoke on the shirtdress – it makes a really interesting feature. I also added side pockets to the shirtdress, rather than the patch pockets, as I like to have functioning pockets. I really love this cardigan and already have a royal blue one planned, thanks to some fabric that I bought from Gabby’s recent destash!
Day 3
This was a day of clearing out and going to the tip – yuck! I wore my super cosy Grainline Studio Pug Linden and my self drafted yoga pants, made from a lovely stretchy viscose mix.
Day 4
I went out and about this day and I got my hair done so it was a dungaree dress kind of day! This is my Grainline Studio Moss skirt/dungaree hack (yes, three days in a row for Grainline patterns!) You can read more about it here. I paired it with an older make of mine – a pretty pink floral Belcarra blouse by Sewaholic.
Day 5
More spring cleaning so this was a day for the super comfy Sew Over It Carrie trousers and Measure Twice vest. I love the cherry print rayon of these trousers.
Day 6
Running errands in my super cute Tilly and the Buttons Cleo dungarees with my stripy Agnes top again. I love this star needlecord and thought the stars and stripes combination worked really well.
Day 7
I hosted Sunday lunch for my lovely friends Joanna and Gabriella so took the opportunity to get a bit more dressed up than the rest of the week! I wore my self drafted rayon maxi skirt, with contrast waistband, with my self drafted cropped blouse – the weather was lovely, so this was a great combo!
All in all, a great week. I am looking forward to next week and bringing out some of my smarter me made outfits, as I am starting a new job on Monday. Just need to decide what my first day outfit will be!
